Our 'Medieval Marvels & Movie Locations' experience is rather magical. It offers visitors to Bath the chance to connect with the local area, experience England's heritage and beauty, away from the crowds, as well as step into some of the most recognizable locations that have been immortalized in film and television including Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride & Prejudice.
We collect guests from their Bath accommodation for a journey into authentic, hidden England to experience the England most visitors imagine, but few encounter. In a small group of eight guests or fewer, get off the beaten track to be immersed in incredible landscapes, awe-inspiring history, captivating characters and stories and buildings that have stood the test of time. Explore tiny hamlets and hidden roads, passing inquisitive sheep, rolling fields and crossing gentle hills and valleys whilst learning about the people, the landscape and its history. Uncover stunning locations off the tourist routes. Visit an ancient church, admire tiny English cottages and grand homes and feed the ducks that still occupy the pond that once watered the local working horses in times gone by. Explore a private 600-year moated manor house on a small guided tour, then wander through it's achingly romantic, quintessentially English, replete with Roses, medieval well and Tudor-framed buildings. Discover the powerful men and women who shaped these places, of nuns and fraudsters and the ordinary people who made this area their home and shaped the landscape and culture we experience today. Enjoy a fabulous lunch at a quintessential country pub before finishing the afternoon with tea (and cake?).
We don't reveal every detail about our tours as the surprises are part of the magic but this is a tour that includes iconic movie locations...

Connect with authentic, hidden England and experience it for yourself.
We take our guests on unique and in-depth journeys into the 'England' that us locals know and love, but that visitors rarely see. We don't share the exact itinerary of our tours because the surprises (and the delight they create) are part of the experience.
We will say that we largely avoid the well-known places most tourists have heard of, to focus on the small, intimate and magical places we know that really tell a story and give guests a real sense of what makes our region special. This is just one of the many things that make us different!
